Sponsored by the Gay Straight Alliance of Columbus Indiana (soon to be renamed PRIDE Alliance Columbus)

the first "Out Side Film Festival" will be held

Saturday, February 6, 2010
at YES Cinema in downtown Columbus.

Some of the films to be featured are:

*The Story of Dr. Evelyn Hooker (documentary about removing homosexuality from the psychiatrists' official list of mental illnesses)

*Freeheld (documentary about policewoman, a lesbian dying from cancer, fighting for survivor benefits for her long-time partner)

*Beyond Boundaries (documentary about LGBT people from other countries living and working in the U.S. - the film maker and a local man who is in the film will participate in a Q&A session after the showing)

*Several fictional Hollywood films featuring LGBT characters

*A variety of short films

Ticket prices:

$6.00 per movie
$15.00 per program (see below)
$25.00 all day pass

Program 1 = 1:00-5:40 pm
Program 2 = 7:00-11:00 pm

(Any revenue beyond that needed to cover the costs of the festival will go toward a scholarship fund for Bartholomew LGBT high school graduates. Tell your friends and make it a group event.
