Doubting Thomas (B'ton), Sept. 11-13Submitted by John Clower on September 7, 2008 - 8:31pm.
09/13/2008 - 8:00pm Etc/GMT-5 The Bloomington Playwrights Project is currently presenting a very special production on an important new play dealing with issues of religion and sexuality. "Doubting Thomas" by John Green tells the story of a young born-again Christian named Thomas who struggles to find a resolution to his conflict between the tenets of his faith and his own sense of self after “graduating” from a program intended to cure him of his homosexuality. The play is appropriate for most audiences, but may be too intense for younger viewers. Performances are the following two weekends, September 5 – September 13, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays @ 8pm and Sundays @ 2pm at the Bloomington Playwrights Project (107 W. 9th). Tickets are $15 General, $12 Student/Senior available online at www.bloomingtonarts .info or at the Sunrise Box Office at 114 E. Kirkwood Ave. Group rates for parties of 20 or more are available. For more information call 334-1188. ( categories: )
