Clash of the Roller Girls – BHRG v. DCRG

Show Your Hometown Pride at this Summer Slammer of a Match-Up

BLOOMINGTON, IND. (July 10, 2008) – On July 19, Bloomington's Bleeding Heartland Roller Girls (BHRG) will host the Derby City Roller Girls (DCRG) of Louisville, KY, in their third home bout of the season at the Bloomington SportsPlex.

After a successful inaugural season last year, the league has grown enough to form two teams, the Farm Fatales and the Slaughter Scouts, as well as an "All-Star" team, the Flatliners. Fresh off a big win at home in June over the Silent Lambs of Cincinnati, the Flatliners will rumble with the ladies from Derby City on July 19, in a match-up dubbed "Summer Sluggin'."

This bout will take place at the Bloomington SportsPlex, 1700 W. Bloomfield Rd., at 7 pm on Saturday, July 19. Tickets are available in advance at the Sunrise Box Office, Amused, Plan 9, Be Hair Now, the SportsPlex front desk, or from any BHRG rollergirl; or at the door starting at 6:00 pm. Advance tickets are $10, and tickets at the door are $15. Children 5-12 get in for $5, and children 5 and under get in free! Season and VIP passes are also available.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Bloomington Hospital Positive Link. In addition, the rollergirls are offering a $1 off coupon for a BHRG T-shirt if you bring a non-perishable food donation for Positive Link.

Come out to support your local roller derby league!
