TransKids Rock is a monthly support group for parents and family members with gender variant/transgender children under the age of 22. A safe place for parents and family members to gain resources and talk with others in similar situations. Children and youth are also welcome to participate in our youth programming. On Monday, May 10th, 2010 a wealth of talent representing the city’s best performing arts organizations will be on stage at Clowes Memorial Hall to present Spotlight 2010, a fundraiser for the Indiana AIDS Fund. The pre-event reception for $115 ticket holders and volunteers will start at 5:30 pm. The performance will begin at 7:30 pm and run approximately 90 minutes. There will also be a short intermission where patrons will have the opportunity to participate in a Silent Auction.

On Sunday, May 16th, community training will take place at the Project School (349 S. Walnut) in Bloomington, Indiana. This training will be open to anyone interested in gaining basic information and tools to work with the media while campaigning for LGBT civil rights. The training is being organized and presented by Indiana Equality and Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD). The training will last three hours.
