Shaily Hakimian of the National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals at Indiana University (NOGLSTP at IU) presents a showing of the award winning film BENT. Bent is being shown in honour of Yom HaShoah (the Jewish Holocaust Remembrance Day) and in support of the historical exhibit on the Nazi Persecution of Homosexuals through April 25 in the IMU. This showing is sponsored by Hillel and the GLBT Student Support Services at Indiana University.

The White River Valley PFLAG is now accepting applications for the 2010 David L. Adams Scholarship. This scholarship opportunity continues a local PFLAG tradition of supporting local youth through financial assistance provided by the organization’s generous membership.
All graduating Seniors who attend a high school in the White River Valley PFLAG coverage area (including Spencer, Bloomington, Martinsville, and the surrounding communities), are eligible for this scholarship and are encouraged to attend.

On Monday, May 10th, 2010 a wealth of talent representing the city’s best performing arts organizations will be on stage at Clowes Memorial Hall to present Spotlight 2010, a fundraiser for the Indiana AIDS Fund. The pre-event reception for $115 ticket holders and volunteers will start at 5:30 pm. The performance will begin at 7:30 pm and run approximately 90 minutes. There will also be a short intermission where patrons will have the opportunity to participate in a Silent Auction.
